Coming from a military family, I have lived in 11 different states growing up. In 2002, we found our way to the Northwest where I live now with my wife of 24 years, Kathy, and our three children, Tre (23), Jalena (20), and Jamison (18). I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. My mortgage career began shortly after college as I started in the Marketing side of the business then quickly moved to the production side where I was a Loan Officer then a Branch Manager, and now a Regional Manager. Over twenty years in the business and I've held a lot of positions that tremendous insight into each role that is involved in closing a loan for our clients.
My immediate goal in a leadership role is to make each member of my team as successful as they can be through support, listening, and guiding when and where I can. I like to leverage my background in sports to create an environment where a winning culture can grow. We have a certain culture that has been purposefully developed over the years that I keep at the forefront of my mind with every obstacle that comes our way. We work together to do everything we can to get people into their homes as soon as we can. We bounce ideas off each other, we problem-solve together. We are friends. We are a team.
The mortgage industry has been an important part of my life for many years and it has brought me closer to “My Why”. Simon Sinek wrote a fantastic book entitled “Start With Why” and he delivered a motivational message at TED Talk that opened my eyes to the possibilities of navigating the mortgage industry in a different way. My calling is to revolutionize the mortgage banking industry by bringing a significant value and connection to everyone I come into contact with. I hope to attract teammates, business partners and clients who share the same core convictions.
